Born and raised in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City, Anya Firestone has created a career for herself built on her passion for showcasing the interconnectivity of art, philosophy, fashion, history, and culture.
Today, she designs and hosts private and tailored “cou-tours” across Paris for individuals, tourists, and brands. Additionally, she advises companies from luxury houses to technology funds, including LOEWE and Andreessen Horowitz, on how to integrate art into their storytelling through experiences, tours, events, and content creation.
Storytelling through art began early in her career. After receiving her Masters in French Cultural Studies from Columbia University, Firestone founded her own business in order to help brands engage with art through collaborations, content, and events. In 2013 Firestone began writing philosophy articles for Highsnobiety Magazine, showcasing the historical and philosophical relevance of art’s use in contemporary culture and fashion. In 2014 she went on to serve as the Head of Curation for the Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, New York City’s largest public exhibition that featured over 100 collaborations and 250 artists including Jeff Koons, Zaha Hadid, Tracey Emin, Peter Beard, and Marc Quinn. She then became the Senior Director of a prominent New York design gallery where she curated exhibitions worldwide.
Over the last decade, Firestone has fused her academic background with her know-say of the fashion industry in order to create experiences for brands that amplify brand identity through arts and culture. Notably, she hosts Maison Firestone events, « house parties » to showcase brands and art through home entertainment. Her clients have included the Dali Museum Paris, La Bouche Rouge, Piaget, Scott West Diamonds, Bergdorf Goodman, Sothebys, Fabergé, Ladurée, Bobbi Brown, amongst others.
